Course Summary

***UPDATED: JULY 28th 2021

Glenmoor Golf Club is located near the Daybreak neighborhoods in South Jordan, Utah. This 18 hole course opened in 1968, and has just undergone a massive renovation to the driving range, clubhouse and has added a few more trees and shrubbery to bring some additional beauty to this once struggling golf course. The changes that have been made have elevated this golf course from a standard, regular neighborhood course, to an exciting course that will bring you back over and over again.

Specifics

Where to even start with the renovations that took place? The most obvious change is the driving range. This new driving range is one of the best in the state, although the one knock I will give is the mats only hitting area. But, if you can look beyond that, the sheer size and lighted range not only make this a spot for serious golfers, but as an event for friends and family.

A new, covered pavilion sits between the clubhouse and the driving range. This area includes a fire pit, heating, ambiance lighting, chairs and tables, surround sound speakers, microphones and two televisions. The Utah Golf Guy was amazed of the party atmosphere that this place gives off. It was a blast watching Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals in such a fun venue.

Next to the pavilion and the driving range is a great putting and chipping green. Another putting and chipping green is found next to the #10 tee box. These are both large and well maintained.

Another new feature to this course is the unbelievable indoor center. This is a golfer’s paradise with an indoor driving range, putting green, shuffle board, corn hole and food and beverage area. This area can be rented out and is truly spectacular!

The clubhouse is much nicer than before, with more space and more amenities. The additional of the pavilion changed the clubhouse score from a four, to an eight. The 19th and Moor Grill is spacious and offers a wide variety of food. The Utah Golf Guy ordered a hamburger. THIS WAS THE BEST HAMBURGER THAT THE UGG HAS EVER EATEN AT A GOLF COURSE! Highly recommended!

The conditions of the course were much better than when the Utah Golf Guy visited in 2020. Newly planted trees were still young but you can see how beautiful they will make this course in a few years. The changes they made on this previously dying golf course make this one of the most improved courses in the state.

BEST HOLES

Signature Hole - #4 Par 4 380 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Elevated tee shot into a tight fairway with trees lined along the sides. Forced layup with the fairway getting extremely narrow about 120 yards from the green. Suggested play is to use a long iron to hit about 180 yards short of the pin. Left to middle fairway is ideal as the right fairway will give you a blind approach shot over trees. The green has a cathedral feel to it with trees surrounding the backside with a little clearing on the back left. Green is relatively flat with a gentle slope from front to back. This requires a good tee shot and approach to even have a chance for par. Fun and challenging hole requiring a long iron approach.

Clubhouse Pick: #4

Most Beautiful - #13 Par 3 150 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Elevated tee shot into a small green protected by two front side bunkers. An iconic wooden fence runs in front of the tee boxes giving a cool, country vibe to the hole. Tons of room behind the green (15 yards back right and 25 yards back left). Green slopes from front to back.

Clubhouse Pick: #2 or #4

Birdie Time - #10 Par 4 370 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Simple Par 4 that plays downhill, playing much shorter than the yardage. Leaves a very short approach shot to a large green. Green slopes severely from front to back. Simple tee shot, approach and putt.

Clubhouse Pick: #5

Likely Bogey - #14 Par 4 410 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Bogey

A tight fairway lined with trees  along the left and the right. The trees are heavier on the right, so missing left is not ideal but the better option if you miss the fairway.   Green slopes from front to back.

Clubhouse Pick: #14

Best Par 3 - #3 170 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Birdie

Glenmoor #3

Elevated tee shot into a large green. Large bunker on the front left and another bunker on the front right. Trees surround the backside of green. The green is relatively flat with a gentle slope from front to back.

Clubhouse Pick: #3

Best Par 4 - #4 380 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Clubhouse Pick: #6

Best Par 5 - #18 530 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Birdie

Fairway is long and straight as can be. A huge pond protects the entire right side of the green making it difficult to reach in two. However, the pond was not filled during my round so all you see is a large, white tarp. The green is extremely deep and slopes from front to back.

Clubhouse Pick: #15
