COURSE SUMMARY

Oakridge Country Club is a beautiful, 18-hole championship golf course in Farmington, Utah. Host of the Utah Championship (a Korn Ferry Tour golf tournament), this course is as beautiful as it is challenging. Trees line each and every fairway with well bunkered greens and beautiful ponds throughout.

A private country club that actually lives up to the hype. There is a reason why the Korn Ferry holds a tournament here every year. The course was in pristine condition, even at the end of October. Fairways were cut crisply around the rough and it seemed that every ball was sitting up for every shot the UGG took. Bunkers looked and played how a championship golf course should. Greens were soft with very little dirt or even ball marks. The water features are gorgeous throughout the course.

The clubhouse is beautiful on the inside, featuring a full club house along with showers and full bathrooms. The staff were great at the clubhouse, and were willing to answer and and all of my questions that I threw at them.

The practice facilities were great but a little small. We were made to hit off mats but divots were seen in front of us so I’m assuming that is not the norm. Two practice putting greens (one large, one small) and a short game practice area complete with a bunker and flags.

Although not open to the public, this course is well worth the membership fees. Highly recommended to all Utah golfers.

BEST HOLES

Signature Hole - #5 Par 3 179 Yards

Utah Golf Guy Score - Bogey

Beautiful, elevated tee shot into a smaller green. A picturesque pond with small waterfalls sits on the left side. A greenside bunker hugs itself between the green and the water. A small ditch runs across the front of the fairway but should not come into play. The only direction you cannot miss on this hole is left. Green has a slight false front and slopes uphill.

Clubhouse Pick: 5

Most Beautiful - #1 Par 5 517 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Birdie

Large, elevated tee shot overlooking a narrow but accessible fairway. No real trouble off the drive. Two large fairway bunkers on the right side. Beautiful stream runs along the right side of the fairway, starting about 75 yards from the green. This stream empties into a gorgeous little pond lined with rockwall on the right side of the green. Two large bunkers on the left side, water on the right. Green is deep and slopes aggressively on the front side and then is quite flat the rest of the way.

Clubhouse Pick: 1 or 14

Birdie Time - #6 Par 5 521 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Visually appealing tee shot with a large pond directly in front of the tee box and mountains and trees up the fairway. Fairway peaks upward in the middle keeping the green out of sight on the drive. Fairway bunker on the right side. If big drivers can catch the fairway slope, you could potentially get an extra 20-30 yards of roll. Approach shot is flat. Front side bunkers on the left and right making big hitters pause about reaching in two. False front and deep but skinny green slopes aggressively uphill. Must land below the hole or there is a high possibility of a 3-putt.

Clubhouse Pick: 6

Likely Bogey - #9 Par 4 442 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Bogey

Another elevated tee shot over water. Fairway slopes uphill on the drive and downhill towards the green. This slope is a ways down so the approach will be uphill making this hole play much longer than the yardage says. Green is protected by two bunkers on the right side.

Clubhouse Pick: 9 or 17

Best Par 3 - #15 205 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Bogey

Yet another tee shot over water.  Green is slightly downhill from the tee box. Greenside bunker on the left and on the right. Green slopes aggressively uphill. Must land below the hole or another 3-putt is in play.

Clubhouse Pick: 5

Best Par 4 - #18 381 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Yet another elevated tee shot over a small pond, but only affects the ladies tee box. Fairway is wide open with sparse trees on both sides. Fairway is very undulated with various bulges and valleys all the way to the green. Depending on where your drive ends up, you could be hitting with your ball above or below your feet on the approach. Fairway bunker on the right side, greenside bunkers on the left and right. False front with the green again sloping uphill.

Clubhouse Pick: 9

Best Par 5 - #16 551 Yards

Utah Golf Guy score - Par

Slight dogleg left on this relatively long Par 5. Fairway is wide open on the drive. Ideal drive is just left of the middle tree on the right side of the fairway. Water runs along the left side fairway all the way to the green, starting 100 yards aways. Another small pond is on the front right of the green. Greenside bunker on the right. Green is deep and slopes uphill.

Clubhouse Pick: 16
