Course Overview
This 9 hole, par 36 course opened in 1998. Located in Fillmore, the course offers a variety of different holes, a driving range and a practice putting green. Located just off the freeway, this is a recommended stop for anyone trying to break up a long drive.
The clubhouse is spacious but feels quite empty with very little equipment filling up the space. Below the clubhouse is an old, grungy space filled with mowers and old golf carts. Reminds me of a run-down auto parts store. The driving range is decent with enough bays for everyone but not quite deep enough to practice hitting a driver. The practice putting green was in poor shape and no holes were made to actually practice towards a target. The staff was friendly on the phone and in the clubhouse.
Holes 2, 3 and 8 are by far the best and most entertaining holes on the course. These holes are worth stopping by, to break up the drive.
Conditions
Tee boxes were all in pretty bad shape. Weeds everywhere and uneven lumps when hitting from the back tees. The fairways were also in pretty bad shape, dirt patches throughout and dead grass everywhere. The greens were quite spongy and reminded me of putting on carpet. Very thick, wet and slow.
BEST HOLES
Signature Hole - #8 Par 4 323 Yards
Utah Golf Guy score - Par
Trees line both sides of the tee box but open up around the ladies’ tee box. Short Par 4 so be careful not to drive into the moat protecting the green. Wide open on the left side of the fairway, a strange fairway bunker on the right side. Bunker is extremely long and forms a circle closer to the hole. Reminiscent of a magnifying glass shape.
Approach shot is the best on the course, with water circling 90% of the green, minus the far back side. Water is wider than it looks off the tee. Green is wide and slopes downhill, from left to right. Green was unfortunately sopping wet, forcing you to sludge through water on every step. Inside of the hole was almost halfway filled with water as well. Really fun hole, except for the drenched green.

Clubhouse Pick: 2
Birdie Time - #2 Par 4 289 Yards
Utah Golf Guy score - Par
Very short par 4. Thick bushes sit on the right side, 50 yards from the green. Trees line the entire left side, from tee to green but should not come into play unless you hit a heavy hook. Bunkers protect the right and left side of the skinniest green on the course. Green is also very deep. Stay out of the bushes on the right and trees on the left and you will have a fantastic chance at birdie.
Clubhouse Pick: 2
Likely Bogey - #5 Par 5 575 Yards
Utah Golf Guy score - Par
A long par 5 with a dogleg right. Unfortunately, you cannot cut the corner on this dogleg due the wide OB field on the right side. Trees line the left side. Ideal tee shot is left fairway. Must bomb your tee shot to even see the green for your second shot. A fairway bunker sits on the left side, with rocks on the backside. Green is very deep and relatively skinny. Green and neck were extremely wet and spongy. I hit my approach 1 yard off the front of the green and it plugged 2 inches into the ground. Fun hole but due to the length, and inability to cut the corner, becomes a very difficult one.
Clubhouse Pick: 8
Best Par 3 - #6 195 Yards
Utah Golf Guy score - Par
Overhanging branches over the tee box when hitting from the tips. Trees line both sides of the fairway. Green is deep and skinny. Slopes aggressively uphill. A large tree on the left overhangs into the fairway.
Clubhouse Pick: 6
Best Par 4 - #3 333 Yards
Utah Golf Guy score - Birdie
Arguably the best driving hole on the course (#2 is in the running as well). A tunnel of trees lines both sides of the tee box forcing either a super straight shot or a high draw to clear the trees on the right. Must clear the fairway bunker on the right (215 yards from the tips) to get close to the hole. Fairway gets very wide on the left side. Bunker protect the left side of the green. Green is wide and deep. Slopes aggressively uphill. Looking back towards the hole from the green is absolutely beautiful, with views of the majestic mountains.
